Golf Fitness is all the rage these days (there's even a Golf Fitness magazine). Professional players such as Tiger Woods and Butch Harmon are crediting functional training and Pilates with extending their golfing careers.

As a personal trainer or Pilates teacher it is not always possible to study specific sports in any useful in depth way, especially if the sports involved are not ones you personally enjoy. But especially for golf, it is crucial to understand what is involved in basic play of the game, common swing faults, and common injuries in order to help your clients feel better and play better.

Golfers are very interested in their game and making it better, and also tend to be more affluent, making them a great target market for any personal training.

My friends at Pilates Digest just released a new e-book for Pilates teachers and personal trainers that focuses on Golf.

Pilates for Golfers is a 140 page guidebook to the game of golf and how to identify and correct swing faults using Pilates exercises. You will love this book and your golfer clients will love you for helping them!
