Working Out-The Book
I made it to the gym six days this week for 3 sessions of cardio (30 minutes of either bike, elliptical, or rowing machine at target heart rate of approximately 150) and 3 sessions of 20 minutes cardio plus about 40-60 minutes of weight training. I feel great and am definitely less sore and have more energy! I'll take tomorrow off from the gym and return Wednesday afternoon.
It's amazing to me how people throw themselves through their workouts with basically no attention to form whatsoever. What I see people do with the lat pull bar just kills me! But unless they have expressed willingness to listen I cannot really just barge over and intervene (much as I would love to).
This tells me that more people really need personal training, especially personal training with some explanation of where the muscles are and why certain form is good or not. I am actually going to work on a guidebook for the basic gym equipment exercises. It can only help!
